How Do You Help Those That Are Less Fortunate?

In an effort to make the world a better place, we must constantly think of others. We must find creative ways to meet their needs. We must do our part at shining some light into the world and making it a better place. Every single person on earth has this opportunity, to brighten the day of another human being if they can simply practice awareness.

With this in mind, my son, Jake Gould, is seeking to do his part. Jake will be celebrating his Bar Mitzvah in January at Chabad. (To learn more about a Bar Mitzvah, please click here for Chabad’s definition and here for Wikipedia’s). Jake has been studying and preparing for this day for nearly 2 years. Part of his “coming of age” for this life-cycle event is to undertake a “mitzvah” project (charitable cause in English terminology) and brighten the day of someone out there in the world.

For his Bar Mitzvah project, he has selected Yad Eliezer as his charitable cause to support and is attempting to raise money for another child’s Bar Mitzvah, allowing that child to celebrate their own special event as he will next month. His goal is to raise $1000.00 to sponsor a child, but he is aiming for $2000.00.

Hear it from Jake in his own words:

Please visit my page to learn more about my Bar Mitzvah Project, or to help me achieve my goal. Can you spare just a few dollars? Every little bit helps and I am trying to help those less fortunate than I am. Please make a donation today at http://www.yadeliezer.org/program_info.php?program_id=59.

I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to have a Bar Mitzvah. I wish to help other boys top have the same opportunity!

Thanks for your support,

Jake Gould

As Jake’s father, I am very proud of his efforts and with his growth. This mitzvah project he has taken on has the potential to become a huge turning point in a teenager’s life that he has never met. But that’s just how Jake is.

I wanted to post this on my company’s blog to ask all of you reading to take a moment right now and be a part of something awesome. Take a moment, right now and help brighten the life of a fellow human being.

To donate, click here, or follow this link: http://www.yadeliezer.org/program_info.php?program_id=59. This is a special page just for the mitzvah project Jake is sponsoring. Simply follow the link and choose an amount to donate in the blue box at the top right hand side of the screen.

Thank you in advance of being a part of something wonderful and powerful. The needy child will never forget his special day that you had a part in making his dream become a reality.
